Visual Studio 2010 Productivity Power Tools : How to remove Guidelines

If you’re experimenting with adding Guidelines to your Visual Studio via the new feature in the newest update to the Productivity Power tools and got stuck trying to remove them here’s the trick:

You may have noticed that there is an option on the right-click context menu to “Remove Guideline” but it’s always grey, no matter how precise you attempt to be on your mouse-click over the Guideline. Well, all you have to do is make sure that the mouse caret is next to a character on the screen and right over the Guideline and then right-click and you will see the “Remove Guideline” option lit up. In order words don’t just try to click on an empty area of the text editor over the Guideline.

This can be particularly annoying if you don’t have text in the page that goes up to the guideline so stupidly enough you may have to type some crap till you reach the column where Guideline sits in order to delete it.
